Harissa Turkey Burgers
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey
2 tbsp harissa paste
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 burger buns
Lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion slices, for serving
For the Yogurt Sauce:
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped fresh mint
Salt, to taste
Directions:
Prepare the Yogurt Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, fresh mint, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
Make the Burger Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, harissa paste, minced garlic, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into 4 equal patties.
Cook the Burgers: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the turkey patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through.
Assemble the Burgers: Toast the burger buns if desired. Spread the yogurt sauce on the buns, add the turkey patty, and top with lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion slices. Serve immediately.
