Meatball Sub Egg Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 egg
Salt and pepper, to taste
Egg roll wrappers
1 cup marinara sauce, plus more for dipping
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh basil, chopped for garnish
Oil for frying
Directions:
In a bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Form the mixture into small meatballs.
In a skillet, brown the meatballs and then pour over the marinara sauce. Simmer until fully cooked.
Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. At the center, place a spoonful of the meatball and sauce mixture, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll tightly to ensure the filling is securely enclosed.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the egg rolls until golden brown and crispy.
Drain on paper towels. Garnish with fresh basil and serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
