Simple Greek Grilled Octopus – A Fresh and Flavorful Mediterranean Delight
Ingredients:
2 pounds octopus, cleaned and tentacles separated
1/4 cup olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges, for serving
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Directions:

Prepare the Octopus:
If using frozen octopus, thaw it completely in the refrigerator overnight. If using fresh, ensure it’s properly cleaned.
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for 40-50 minutes, or until tender. Test with a fork; it should slide in easily. Drain and let it cool.
Marinate:
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Add the cooked octopus tentacles to the marinade, tossing to coat. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Grill the Octopus:

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
Remove the octopus from the marinade and grill the tentacles for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until nicely charred and crispy.
Serve:

Transfer the grilled octopus to a serving platter.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
