Cajun Salmon and Shrimp
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Directions:
Season the Salmon and Shrimp:
In a small bowl, combine the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
Rub the spice mixture onto the salmon fillets and shrimp, ensuring they are evenly coated.
Cook the Salmon:
Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has a crispy exterior. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp:
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil and the butter.
Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and fully cooked.
Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and toss to coat.
Serve:
Serve the Cajun salmon and shrimp together, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. This dish pairs well with rice, roasted vegetables, or a light salad.
