Philly Cheesesteak Crescent Ring

Philly Cheesesteak Crescent Ring
Ingredients:
– 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
– 14 ounces shaved steak
– 2 tablespoons salted butter
– 1 small sweet onion, small diced
– 1 small green bell pepper, small diced
– 1 small red bell pepper, small diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning
– 16 ounces (2 tubes) crescent rolls
– 1 ½ cups shredded provolone cheese
– 1 large egg
– Splash of water
– ½ teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shaved steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the diced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and minced garlic until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Return the cooked steak to the skillet and stir in Worcestershire sauce and Montreal steak seasoning. Mix well and remove from heat.
5. On a baking sheet, arrange crescent rolls in a circular pattern with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the pointed ends facing outward to create a ring.
6. Spoon the steak mixture onto the wide ends of the crescent rolls. Top with shredded provolone cheese.

7. Fold the pointed ends of the crescent rolls over the steak and cheese mixture, tucking them under the wide ends to seal the ring.
8. In a small bowl, whisk the egg with a splash of water. Brush the egg wash over the crescent ring and sprinkle with dried parsley, if desired.
9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown and cooked through.
10. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
