Garlic Bread Cheesy Sloppy Joe Bake
Ingredients:
For the Sloppy Joe Filling:
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Garlic Bread Topping:
1 (11-ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
Sloppy Joe Filling:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are soft.
Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Pour the sloppy joe mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Garlic Bread Topping:
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, and dried parsley.
Separate the refrigerated biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
Dip each biscuit piece in the garlic butter mixture, then arrange them over the sloppy joe filling in the baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the biscuit pieces.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
