“This is pretty early on in the investigation, and the homicide unit will be releasing more information as they’re able,” Austin Police Department spokesperson Leah Ratliff said.

Infowars founder Alex Jones confirmed White’s death on Monday, revealing that the reporter had been working just hours before the tragic incident. According to Jones, White was actively engaged in his duties during InfoWars’ Sunday show and even posted online before his death. “We even have his last post on X where he responded to Elon Musk,” Jones said.

Jones claimed that White was killed outside his home, just a few miles from the Infowars studios. He said concerns grew when White failed to answer his phone or show up for work. Crew members decided to check on him at his apartment, just a few miles from the Infowars studios.

What they found was alarming. “When they got to the apartment complex, there was yellow tape everywhere and blood on the parking lot,” Jones recalled. One of the crew members approached an officer at the scene. That’s when they received confirmation—White had succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Jones described White as “one of our greatest writers.” He noted that White had been highly productive in his final hours, publishing six to seven articles the day before his death. In the wake of White’s death, tributes have poured in from colleagues and supporters, reflecting on his impact both professionally and personally.

Infowars host Harrison H. Smith shared his grief on X, calling the loss “senseless and tragic.” Struggling to process the news, Smith described White as a central figure in the newsroom—”a fixture at the office” and “a source of constantly positive energy.”

For Smith, White wasn’t just a colleague but a friend. He remembered him as “the chillest dude” and someone deeply committed to the fight for liberty. As he reflected on White’s sudden passing, Smith left a final thought, “Take nothing for granted, life is fleeting.”

Tributes continued to pour in as those who knew White shared their grief and memories. Another coworker, known as @InfowarsRob on X, shared a photo of White and expressed his deep sorrow. He called White one of the best people he had ever met, emphasizing the strong bond they had formed over the years.

In his message, he promised to see him “on the other side,” a sentiment that resonated with many who mourned his passing. The outpouring of grief highlighted the profound impact White had on those who worked with him.

White’s death marks Austin’s eighth homicide of the year. Police are actively investigating the case, and updates are expected as new details emerge.
