Savory Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
8 oz noodles (spaghetti, linguine, or your choice)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup shredded carrots
1/2 cup sliced green onions
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water
Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Noodles:
Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
Prepare the Sauce:

In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour the sauce into the skillet with the ground beef and stir to combine.
Thicken the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add this mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
Combine and Serve:
Add the cooked noodles, shredded carrots, and sliced green onions to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro. Serve hot.
