Instructions
Prepare Kofta Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped fish, onion, garlic, ginger, cilantro, parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, ground turmeric, chili powder, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Shape Koftas: Shape the mixture into small patties or oval-shaped koftas.
Fry Koftas: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the koftas in batches, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Make Yogurt Sauce: For the yogurt sauce, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, fresh mint, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Mix well.
Serve: Serve the fish koftas hot with the yogurt sauce on the side. Enjoy!
Tips and Variations
Oven-Baked: For a healthier option, bake the koftas at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Spicy Kick: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the fish mixture for extra heat.
Herbal Twist: Add a tablespoon of dill to the yogurt sauce for a different flavor.
