Meghan Trainor finally reveals secret behind remarkable transformation in honest Instagram post

Meghan Trainor has opened up about her recent body transformation, revealing how she achieved her new look.

The singer, 31, received an outpouring of support from her fans after sharing some new photos showcasing her dramatic weight loss.

She took to Instagram again on Monday to celebrate being honored at the Billboard Women in Music Awards as a Hitmaker, where she addressed how she’d undergone the transformation and her thoughts on the scrutiny she’d faced.

Meghan wrote: “Feeling so honored to be recognized by @billboard Women in Music as a Hitmaker – what a dream!

“But it’s a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here. This is what it’s like to be a woman in the music industry.”

She added: “No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me. I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.

“Here’s to celebrating talent, growth, and the power of putting yourself first. Let’s keep shifting the convo to what REALLY matters. With love.”

It’s not the first time Meghan has addressed her fitness journey as back in November 2022, she opened up about dropping 60 pounds after what she described as her “heaviest” point after the birth of her first son, Riley, via C-section.

“I was in a really dark place, and I wanted to be in a great place for my son,” she told Entertainment Tonight Canada at the time.

“I worked [out] every day and challenged myself. I was very dedicated, and I started seeing the pounds come off one week at a time, one pound. I was like, ‘I’m fighting.’”

She also said the process transformed the way she thinks about food and fitness, explaining: “I learned that I do like healthy food, and I learned what portions mean. My brain is so happy when I exercise.”

Meghan is a mom to two children – four-year-old Riley and Barry, one, with husband Daryl Sabara.

Mounjaro, also known as tirzepatide, is a weight loss medication administered by injection, which makes the user feel less hungry by feeling fuller for longer.

It – like other similar drugs including Ozempic – is usually used to treat Type 2 diabetes, but it was approved for weight loss use in 2023 by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Before her post on Monday, Meghan had hinted that “science is the secret” to her transformation in an interview with Entertainment Tonight before the awards show on Saturday.

She explained: “Science is the secret. I love it. I learned a lot of tricks that I had no idea [about].

“I was working out so incorrectly wrong for so long. I was running and doing cardio and my body was inflamed, always.

“I’m trying to bio-hack my body. So anything that’ll help me age backward, I’m into it.”

Earlier this year, Meghan also revealed that she had undergone breast augmentation after “having two kids, living a healthier lifestyle, and losing weight.”
