Korean Beef Bulgogi
Ingredients:
Marinade:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar (substitute with apple cider vinegar if needed)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, minced
1/2 tsp black pepper
Beef:
1 lb beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
Vegetables:
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2 green onions, chopped
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Garnish:
Cooked white rice
Additional green onions, chopped
Instructions:
Prepare the Marinade:
In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and black pepper.
Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the marinade is well mixed.
Marinate the Beef:
Place the thinly sliced beef in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
Pour the marinade over the beef, ensuring all pieces are well coated.
Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for better flavor.
Cook the Beef and Vegetables:
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the marinated beef slices and cook for about 4-5 minutes, until the beef is browned and cooked through.
Add the sliced onion to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the onion is softened and slightly caramelized.
Serve:
Transfer the cooked beef and onions to a serving plate.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Serve hot with cooked white rice on the side.
