Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles
Savory and Satisfying Asian-Inspired Comfort Dish
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
8 oz noodles (lo mein or spaghetti)
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup hoisin sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp minced ginger
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp sesame oil
¼ cup chopped green onions
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the Noodles:
Prepare the noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set them aside.
Brown the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if needed.
Add Aromatics:
Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1-2 minutes until the mixture becomes fragrant.
Create the Sauce:
Add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and brown sugar to the skillet. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
Combine with Noodles:
Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, ensuring they’re well coated with the beef and sauce mixture.
Garnish and Serve:
Top with chopped green onions, red pepper flakes (if desired), and sesame seeds. Serve hot
