Welcome to a crispy, golden journey with our Golden Delight Strudel Rolls! These slender rolls of joy are packed with a deliciously seasoned center of ground meat and melted cheese, all wrapped up in a thin, crisp strudel pastry. Perfect for those who love a bit of crunch with a hearty filling!
Ingredients:
Strudel Dough:
1 package store-bought or homemade strudel dough
Olive oil for brushing
Meat Filling:
1 lb ground beef or pork
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Cheese Layer:
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
Toppings:
Sesame seeds for sprinkling
Fresh chopped chives for garnish
Directions:
Prepare the Filling:

In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add the ground meat, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned.
Stir in paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for a few more minutes until fragrant. Set aside to cool slightly.
Assemble the Strudels:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roll out the strudel dough into a thin sheet. Place the cooled meat filling down the center of the sheet, and sprinkle the cheeses over the meat.
Fold the dough over the filling, sealing the edges to enclose the filling completely.
Bake:
Transfer the roll to a lined baking tray. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is crisp and golden brown.
Serve:
Allow the strudel to cool slightly before slicing into individual portions. Garnish with fresh chives.
