The 31-year-old singer, who rose to fame as a teenager, admitted in an Instagram post on Thursday that despite his success, he often feels undeserving of the praise he receives.
“People told me my whole life, ‘Wow, Justin, you deserve that,'” he wrote. “And I personally have always felt unworthy, like I was a fraud, like when people told me I deserve something. It made me feel sneaky like, damn if they only knew my thoughts. How judgmental I am, how selfish I really am… They wouldn’t be saying this.”
Bieber continued, “I say all this to say, if you feel sneaky, welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days.”

Fan Concern Over Bieber’s Well-Being
The post comes amid ongoing speculation about Bieber’s health and mental state. In recent months, the singer has been spotted looking disheveled, and a video of him smoking from what appeared to be a bong sparked further concern.

Earlier this month, Bieber celebrated his 31st birthday by sharing family photos with his wife, Hailey Bieber, and their seven-month-old son, Jack Blues. Despite these happy moments, fans have continued to question his well-being, especially after a video surfaced of him performing a rap about getting high.
Representative Denies Drug Rumors
In response to growing speculation, Bieber’s representative issued a statement denying claims that the singer was using hard drugs.
“The recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is absolutely not true,” the rep told TMZ. “Justin is currently in one of the best places in his life. He has had a very transformative year and ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”
The rep also told the outlet that the narrative about the star’s mental and physical health is “exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
They added that Bieber is “actively parenting his newborn son” and focusing on making new music.

Hailey Bieber’s Support
Bieber’s wife, Hailey, has also been at the center of fan discussions, with some speculating about the state of their marriage. The couple, who married in 2018, have recently been seen together in public and on social media, seemingly brushing aside rumors of trouble.
A source told Us Weekly that Hailey is doing her best to support Bieber during this time. “It can be hard for Hailey, but she’s always there for him and is understanding,” the insider said.

Another source insisted that Bieber is “happier than he’s been in a long time” and that he is not concerned with outside speculation.
“There’s no breakdown,” the source said. “He just really doesn’t care what people think.”
Bieber’s Reflection on Fame
Bieber’s Instagram post also hinted at imposter syndrome, a common struggle among celebrities who rise to fame quickly. The singer was discovered at just 15 years old and became one of the best-selling artists of all time, with an estimated 150 million records sold worldwide.
Despite his success, Bieber has been open about the challenges that came with it. In 2020, he spoke about past struggles with addiction, revealing that he first started using marijuana at age 12 or 13 before experimenting with harder drugs.
Bieber’s recent message reflects his continued journey with self-acceptance, as he navigates fame, fatherhood, and personal growth.
