Italian Christmas Cookies
Ingredients:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– ½ cup granulated sugar
– ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– ½ teaspoon almond extract
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– ¼ teaspoon salt
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 2-3 tablespoons milk
– Sprinkles for decoration

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract, and mix until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
6. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze. Dip the top of each cooled cookie into the glaze, then top with sprinkles for decoration.
7. Let the glaze set before serving.
