On March 15, 2025, Kyra Sedgwick and her husband, Kevin Bacon, took to Instagram to share individual birthday messages for their daughter, Sosie Ruth Bacon. Their posts featured throwback images and footage of the now 33-year-old.

Kyra shared a heartfelt message alongside two pictures, one of her posing with a young Sosie and another more recent one. She wrote, “My favorite wing girl – at any age. Happy birthday @sosiebacon!”
Kevin celebrated his daughter’s birthday with a touching video filled with cherished memories. Set to The Rolling Stones’ “She’s A Rainbow,” the video featured clips of him and Sosie holding drinks in a lift and her crocheting and laughing while he played the guitar.

The video also included moments of Sosie dancing with her parents and playing with a goat while Kevin played his instrument. In one amusing clip, she startled a tied-up horse by abruptly lifting her hands.

Referring to the nickname of her middle name, Kevin wrote, “Happy Birthday Ruthie. Keep laughing. @sosiebacon.” After seeing the couple’s sweet birthday tributes, netizens eagerly shared their thoughts.

Ironically, this wasn’t the first time netizens had noticed the birthday girl’s resemblance to her parents. In May 2024, she caught their attention when she posted a stunning photo of herself on Instagram.
In the image, the blonde-haired actress posed in a backless outfit, highlighting her look with a striking wind-blown tree tattoo on her back. Netizens quickly commented on how much she resembled her famous mother.
Instagram comments included, “Wow, you look just like your mother! So gorgeous!” and “Your mother’s twin! Beautiful!” Echoing similar sentiments, one person noted, “So beautyful [sic]! You have your mother’s eyes,” while a fan exclaimed, “Oh gosh, you look just like your mumma!! Beautiful pic.”

In 2023, for her 31st birthday, Sosie’s mother shared a throwback photo of herself holding the young actress as a baby. At the time, the much younger birthday girl was wrapped in a towel, laughing as Kyra Sedgwick snuggled her face close to her ear.
The older actress simply wished her a happy birthday in the caption of her post, which surpassed 12,000 likes in just 18 hours. Sosie responded to her mother’s post, writing, “Love you, mommy,” in the comments.
As always Sosie’s father also shared a throwback photo on Instagram, wishing her a happy birthday. The “Footloose” star noted in the caption how he was a lucky father, and his wife, responded with high praise for the image on his post, calling it the best.
In 2019, Kevin also left a sweet message next to a photo of Kyra and a young and bald Sosie. “Happy birthday to my beautiful little girl @sosiebacon life with you is a joy. I’m so proud of you and all you do. All my love,” he wrote at the time.
