People Express Concern as Ashley St. Clair, Mother of Elon Musk’s Child, Has Been Absent From Social Media for Over a Month

The latest woman to welcome a child with tech billionaire, Elon Musk, has been absent from X for over a month. Her disappearance has sparked concern among netizens, with one person even theorizing that Musk might be involved.

This week, social media users took to X to express their worries about Ashley St. Clair’s long absence from the platform. Her last post was on February 16, 2025, when she uploaded a photo of Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In the image, Zelenskyy sat facing the camera while holding a pen. Weighing in on the political aspect, St. Clair captioned the post, writing, “can u believe the nerve of this gold digger. [sic]” On her X account, she described herself as an author and director. She gained worldwide attention when she recently revealed she allegedly gave birth to Musk’s child.

Resharing her last post, one netizen commented“I don’t want to alarm anyone but [sic] she literally hasn’t posted anything since this.” Another person, sharing a screenshot of her X profile along with her pinned and last post, questioned“Is Ashley St Clair dead or put in a bunker somewhere? Dead air for over a month.”

Echoing similar concerns, someone else pointed out“It’s been a whole month since Ashley St. Clair’s last timeline post. Have we lost her?” Another speculated“Elon made Ashley st [sic] Clair disappear.”

Tagging St. Clair, a concerned netizen asked“What ever happened to Ashley St.Clair. She use to post about 50 time a day and now hasn’t posted in month. Her last post was a month ago accusing zelensky being a gold digger. [sic],” while another wondered the same thing.

Sharing a picture of the author, one person asked where she had gone. Meanwhile, another netizen uploaded a video of Musk walking with Shivon Zilis, the mother of his four children, during a dinner with President Donald J. Trump this month at Mar-a-Lago.

The person urged someone to check on St. Clair. Expressing concern, another X user questioned“Are we gonna talk about how Ashley St. Clair’s stunt royally backfired and she’s been MIA for over a month?”

St. Clair initially posted a Valentine’s Day statement on X revealing the birth of her child. She captioned it with the Latin phrase “Alea iacta est,” meaning “The die is cast.” The phrase is a variation of a quote attributed by Suetonius to Julius Caesar on January 10, 49 BC.

Her statement read, “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”

St. Clair continued, “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”

After receiving numerous responses, she returned the following day to express her gratitude for the kind words. The author said she wished she hadn’t needed to make a statement in the first place, as she believed such matters should be off-limits to journalists.

St. Clair did reveal that she planned to take some time off to be with family and would be logging off X for a while. She pinned the post to her account for everyone to see.

Since revealing the birth of her child, the 26-year-old has sued Musk, 53, for sole custody of her child. In her petition, she claimed the Tesla CEO had seen the child, identified only as R.S.C., only three times since his birth in September 2024.

On February 25, her representative, Brian Glicklich, explained why St. Clair had taken legal action. He stated, “This has never been about money for Ashley.” He continued, “This is about protecting the best interests of Ashley and Elon’s child from a man who can’t be counted on to even communicate, much less act consistently in the role of a father.”

Glicklich also alleged that the SpaceX CEO spends more time on X, his social media platform, discussing the mothers of his children rather than communicating with them. The statement further revealed, “We tried to handle this collaboratively with Mr. Musk, but it takes both a father and a mother to do that, and he refused all conversations.”

According to previous reports, apart from her recent revelation, St. Clair has also gained recognition as a children’s book author. Her most well-known work, “Elephants Are Not Birds,” was created in partnership with BRAVE Books. The story explores themes of identity and delivers a conservative viewpoint to young readers.

Alongside her work as an author, her recent revelation adds another layer to Elon’s ever-growing family story — a journey that spans more than two decades.

Over the years, Elon has become a father to multiple children across several relationships, with some aspects of his family life garnering public attention while others remain largely private.

His path to fatherhood began during his time at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, where he met Justine Wilson. Their connection deepened quickly, and after selling his first company, Zip2, they got engaged and married in 2000.

The couple welcomed their first child, Nevada Alexander Musk, two years later. However, tragedy struck when Nevada passed away at just 10 weeks old after a sudden breathing issue.

Despite paramedics reviving him, the oxygen deprivation had caused irreversible brain damage. After three days on life support, Elon and Justine made the heartbreaking decision to let him go, with Justine cradling him in his final moments.

The pair continued growing their family through IVF, welcoming twins Griffin and Xavier in 2004, followed by triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian in 2006.

However, as the billionaire’s career demands increased, so did the strain on his marriage, ultimately leading to a divorce in 2008. Despite parting ways, they agreed to share custody of their five children.

In 2022, their child Xavier filed for a legal name and gender change, becoming Vivian Jenna Wilson. In court documents, Vivian expressed, “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”

Her TikTok account, where she occasionally shares glimpses of her life, has attracted hundreds of thousands of followers.

Elon’s family grew again during his relationship with Canadian musician Claire Boucher, known as Grimes. In May 2020, they welcomed their son, X AE A-XII, often called “X.”

Grimes has spoken about X’s early curiosity about technology. She shared how he once became frustrated when his toy rocket’s design did not align with the real thing, even experiencing a “three-day meltdown” after watching a failed SpaceX rocket test.

In December 2021, Elon and Grimes welcomed a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl, or “Y,” via surrogate. Her public introduction unexpectedly happened when she was heard crying in the background during Grimes’ Vanity Fair interview.

Their third child, Techno Mechanicus, nicknamed “Tau,” was revealed in 2023 in Walter Isaacson’s biography of Elon. However, details about Tau remain scarce.

During the same period, the South African native expanded his family again with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis. In 2021, the pair quietly welcomed twins, with their birth only becoming public when court documents surfaced regarding a request to give the twins Elon’s surname and Shivon’s last name as part of their middle names.

The twins were born just weeks before Exa and their father confirmed their existence later on. In early 2024, Elon and Shivon had a third child, bringing his known total to 12.

When asked about his growing family, Elon pointed to his concerns about declining birth rates, explaining that he wanted to have “as many as” he’s able to spend time with and be a good father.

He acknowledged the challenges of connecting with his older children, especially as they grow more independent, “My eldest are off to college, and teenagers don’t want to spend much time with their parents. I wish they would (sigh).”

Now, with the arrival of a 13th child, as claimed by Ashley, Elon Musk’s family continues to grow. Despite his demanding professional life, he remains committed to involving his children in his world, often taking X to business meetings and encouraging his kids’ interest in technology and space exploration.

As per previous reports, St. Clair isn’t the only woman who is a mother to Musk’s children, who has had issues with him in recent months. Grimes and Musk made headlines following a plea from the singer to the X social platform owner regarding the well-being of one of their three children.

On February 20, 2025, in now-deleted tweets on X, Grimes accused her ex-boyfriend and father of her three children of ignoring her phone calls amid a “medical crisis.”

The “Genesis” singer reportedly wrote, “I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention. If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can do that [so] we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon.”

She further explained, “I’m not giving any details but he won’t respond to texts calls or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap, so I need him to [expletive] respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we are at. [sic]”

Grimes, a Canadian musician whose real name is Claire Boucher, did not specify which of her children was in need. The 36-year-old and Elon Musk share two sons, X Æ A-Xii, four, and Techno Mechanicus, two, as well as a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, three.

The 53-year-old SpaceX Chief Executive Officer (CEO) did not respond to her now-deleted plea. Since then, Grimes has shared several posts on X. Some X users were confused when they were unable to see her previous posts and suspected that her account was shadowbanned.

Others were puzzled by the absence of her comments on the platform, which is owned by Elon. The following day, Grimes explained that she was deleting her posts “because if they’re being shadow banned and not eliciting a response then all it is is a media circus at the expense of the kids.”

This isn’t the first time that the vocalist and businessman, who dated from 2018 to 2022, have clashed. On February 11, 2025, Elon brought X Æ A-Xii with him to the Oval Office, where they joined President Donald Trump for a media briefing to discuss the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

For the press briefing, Elon wore a long black coat over a dark outfit, accessorizing with a matching “Make America Great Again” cap. X Æ A-Xii was dressed in a beige overcoat with a navy blue ensemble underneath and wore a gold chain as he stood confidently beside his father.

The young boy appeared to entertain both Elon and Donald, who was seated at the Resolute Desk in a dark suit and blue tie. An X user who reacted to Elon’s son’s presence at the event wrote“Lil X was very polite today! You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT ‘please [sic] forgive me, I need to pee.’🥰.”

The boy’s mother saw the post and revealed she wasn’t aware that her ex would be making a public appearance with their child. She responded by writing a now widely discussed message on X about it.

Grimes said, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u [sic] for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

When other social media users saw her post, they quickly shared their thoughts.

One supporter wrote, “No, he shouldn’t be. You need to get tough, girl. He’s your baby, not Elon’s pet,” while another noted“Every time I see him, I wish he was with you, and his siblings. He has a great spirit. But I am worried for his influences and safety.”

Someone else remarked“Is there anything you can do? It is quite disturbing that he uses X in that way. Trump seems to be getting annoyed too, not good for the kid to be in the middle of all this chaos.”

More people sided with Grimes as another netizen declared“She’s right!” Taking to Facebook, someone reiterated, “She’s absolutely right, he’s a child, not a prop!!” Sharing the same sentiments, a commenter stated“I’m actually with her on this one lol.”

Praising Grimes’ efforts to protect her child’s privacy, a supporter commended“Yes mommy, take control of your baby!” At the same time, an unsurprised social media user shared“Was expecting something like this!” Someone else defended the artist, writing“She’s protecting her child. The child doesn’t need to be made a part of the spectacle that’s going on!”

Grimes has been keeping her distance from Elon ever since they broke up. She and the Tesla CEO welcomed X in 2020, with Elon sharing a photo of himself holding the newborn wrapped in a hospital blanket.
