Barbecue Beef Burger
Ingredients:
500g ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 egg
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
4 burger buns
4 slices of cheddar cheese
Lettuce, tomato, and onion slices (for garnish)
Barbecue sauce (for topping)
Olive oil (for grilling)
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and lightly brush with olive oil.
Grill the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt.
Toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion slices, and barbecue sauce. Place the top half of the bun on top.
Serve hot with your favorite sides.
