Firecracker Meatballs

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 cup hot sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons butter

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the firecracker sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar. Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat and stir in the butter until melted and

 

the sauce is smooth.
Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the firecracker sauce over them. Toss to coat the meatballs evenly in the sauce.
Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
