Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
Puff Pastry Sheets: 1 package, thawed
Ground Sausage: 1/2 pound, cooked and crumbled
Cream Cheese: 4 oz, softened
Fresh Chives: 1 tablespoon, chopped for garnish
Egg: 1, beaten for egg wash
Instructions:
Prep the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Filling:
In a skillet, brown the sausage until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and set aside to cool slightly. Mix the cooked sausage with softened cream cheese until well combined.
Assemble the Crescents:
Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets and cut into triangles. Spoon a generous amount of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle.
Roll Them Up:
Roll the pastry triangles starting from the filled end towards the point to form the crescent shape. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Apply Egg Wash:
Brush each crescent roll with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the crescents are golden and puffed.
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle freshly chopped chives over the hot crescents right before serving.
