Indulge in the Magic of a Blueberry Lavender Cake!
Ingredients:
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 2 large eggs
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tbsp dried lavender buds
• 1 cup fresh blueberries
• 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• Zest of 1 lemon
Directions:
1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. Cream Butter & Sugar: In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Combine: Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Stir in vanilla extract and lemon zest.
5. Add Lavender & Blueberries: Gently fold in the lavender buds and blueberries.
6. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7. Cool & Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
